I am loving my new StarPack 9" Tongs! After using them a few times, I ended up buying a set of 12 inch tongs also. My new favorite kitchen utensil. They are definitely heat resistant, use them on the stove, in the oven and on the grill. The thumb lock is very useful for one handed operation but the head is totally useless. Soft-grip handles are slip-resistant and comfortable to hold. My old tongs were all metal and scratched the pan surface, so I was jot upset when they broke.
